If you are planning to organise a fundraising event involving multiple donations, feel free to use the following sponsorship form. This can help you to claim back Gift Aid.
Gift Aid is a UK government scheme enabling registered charities to increase the value of donations from UK taxpayers by claiming back the basic rate tax paid by the donor on the donation. Gift Aid means that the valuable contribution you have made can be worth even more to us. At the current basic rate tax of 20 per cent, this means that if you give £10 and complete a Gift Aid declaration, it’s worth £12.50 to BIBS.
In order for us to be able to claim back this tax each donor must complete a declaration. To download the BIBS Gift Aid form in Word format click here and return the form to us at the following address: Babies In Buscot Support, Buscot Ward, Royal Berkshire Hospital, London Road, Reading RG1 5AN.
Alternatively you can make a one off online donation to BIBS via JustGiving and VirginMoneyGiving. You will automatically be prompted to complete a Gift Aid declaration on these sites. Visit our JustGiving and VirginMoneyGiving page for more information.
It is also worth noting that if you are a higher rate taxpayer you may also be able to claim relief for the additional tax you have paid over the basic rate amount we have claimed back.
There is more information about the tax implications of making personal donations on the HMRC website.
